Should we settle?

Settling...
The other day I was riding in the car with a few of my girlfriends, and as it usually does, the subject of love and marriage came up. Now I wouldn't call myself moderate or conservative, but I do have my own ideals of how "love" is suppose to be. I'm a romantic. One of my favorite things to do is read and I compare every guy to characters from my favorite love stories. But the question that always seems to pose itself to me is, "Does that kind of 'head-over-heels-can't-get-enough-of-each-other-want-to-grow-old-together' love really exist in the real world?"

What do you think? Have you found that person?

When driving and riding around with my friends they all seemed to think that it really doesn't happen the way that it does in the movies. According to them finding someone that can support you, and you can 'tolerate' most of the time, and is a decent human being is all that we can really hope for. I don't want to believe this to be true. "I want my M&M" as one of my new favorite characters from "Diary of a Working Girl" would say. I don't want to give up on that possibility that there is someone out there that is everything I could ever dream of and we could live happily ever after.

What do you think? Am I insane?
